About         Lodging         Directions         FAQ

What is AudioFeed?

Audiofeed Festival is music, arts, and community.

Music and Art is the center of what we tangibly “do”.  Since our founding in 2013, we’ve hosted over 1000 bands, screened movies, explored performance and visual art, and created space for our audience to share their music and art.  The festival typically runs over the week and weekend leading into the 4th of July.

Our goal is to create an environment where unconditional love is nurtured, encouraged, and shared without regard for appearance, religious belief, race, societal status, or any other thing that separates us from each other in the world at large.  We believe that the perfect example of that Love was expressed through Jesus Christ and we do our best in fitful and imperfect ways to follow His example.   Exploration, questioning, doubts, fears, hopes, joys… all are welcomed and encouraged.  Ultimately we’re people who want to support each other and experience great music and art with others who feel the same way.

Who is Audiofeed for?

Audiofeed is open to anyone and everyone, but we think there are three main ways to take something positive from the fest.

  1. If you just like good music from a variery of genres, you will most likely discover some real gems in our lineup. Music connoisseurs have always found a home with us.

  2. Audiofeed is uniquely situated to provide an amazing experience for families. There is truly something for people of any age at Audiofeed and we value the chance to serve whole families with quality programming.

  3. Audiofeed is a place to engage deep spiritually if that is your thing. You will find a variety of perspecitves represented in our guests and artists/speakers. The goal is for these perspectives to be engaged with a heart of starting conversations rather than ending them. At Audiofeed you will find we take seriously every word of our vision to cultivate cross-ideology community around Jesus and music.

What kind of music?

Good music.  No… actually, GREAT music.  That’s really our only criteria.  We tend toward creative music that is not necessarily “radio single” type material.  From really mellow acoustic to hardcore and everything in between.  With three stages focusing on different styles, there is something for almost everyone almost all the time.  Some of our artists are expressly Christian.  Many are not, but write music influenced by their faith journey.   Some are expressly not Christian, but share our values of love and community and are working all of that out in the best way they can figure out.  We like people like that.

How did it start?

Audiofeed began in 2013 in an effort to keep the core “family” of the Cornerstone Festivals of the past alive.  Audiofeed is not Cornerstone.  But it’s the same family, and similar spirit.

What organization sponsors/runs AudioFeed?

We formed a non-profit in 2014 to help us accept donations, but there is nothing behind Audiofeed but a bunch of volunteers and the community that gathers each year.  We are you.  Want to help?  We’re always ready to talk to people who want to get involved.  Feel free to email volunteer@audiofeedfestival.com.

Core Team Profiles

Tasked with organizing volunteers and ensuring the required tasks of putting on Audiofeed are being done, this group of people are the current leaders of the Audiofeed team. If you’ve got gripes or gratitude, these folks are the best ones to bring them to.

Kevin Schlereth

Roles: General Catch-All, Board Member, Core Team

Favorite Audiofeed Memory: John Van Deusen’s “parking lot” acoustic set was such a gift. Random people handing me food when I feel like I have too much to do to stop and eat. Watching the small gang of 3-8 year olds feel free and at home at our festival: those kids are the future of the scene.

Kerby Worley

Role: Burningtown Stage Lead, Board Member, Core Team

Favorite Audiofeed Memory: One of my favorite Audiofeed experiences was standing outside the Burningtown/Impact Stage at the 10th Anniversary listening to The Choir play to a mesmerized audience. As I stood there looking through the overflowing crowd, a couple of golf carts filled with festival volunteers pulled in to watch, triggering a powerful Cornerstone flashback for me.

Patrick Quigley

Roles: Administrative and Team Building Coordinator, Board Member, Core Team

Favorite Audiofeed Memory: Fav memory would be playing a 4-way vs set in the wide open field at 11am with 3 other hardcore bands in a chicken suit.

Mandi Quigley

Roles: Guest Hospitality, Core Team

Favorite Audiofeed Memory: I can’t narrow it down to one favorite memory but two things that stick out in my mind are all the late nights sitting up with our campsite talking and being silly late into the night and watching friends come and seeing them get why the fest is so special. Such a good feeling!

Loyd Harp

Roles: On-site Volunteer Coordinator, Core Team

Favorite Audiofeed Memory: Watching Chris Bernstorf 'surf' on top of a wooden pallet being held up by 4-5 guys underneath him during The Chariot karaoke. The youth pastor in me was slightly panicking about the risk of injury the whole time, haha!

FAQ

QUESTIONS?

There's a good chance we already have answers.

Can I sell merchandise as AudioFeed?
Only approved vendors may sell on the grounds.  Contact us by filling out the form on the CONTACT tab at the top of the page.

When should I arrive?
Admission begins at 12 PM on the first day of the fest. We may be able to open the grounds even earlier for those looking to arrive before then; inquire at afeedteam at gmail dot com if interested.

Can I camp at AudioFeed?
Yes, tent camping is included in the cost of admission.  Parking is approximately 100 yards from the camping area.  Be prepared to pack your tent and gear a short distance. If you need a hand or have concerns getting your gear where it needs to be, let us know once you get here.

Can I bring my RV?
A limited number of RV sites are available on the ticketing page.

What if I'm not into camping?
Champaign-Urbana has many hotels near the venue.  Hawthorne Suites is a generous supporter of AudioFeed.  Please show them some love by staying at their Champaign location.

Are there bathroom and shower facilities?
Yes...both.  Bathroom facilities are a mix of indoor and porta-potties. There are a few showers in the bathroom facilities on the fair grounds. These facilities are free and our rad volunteers come in to clean them before the fest, but they are still ol’ shower facilities on fair grounds so bring flip-flops if you don’t want to stand on the floors.

What do I eat?
Bring your own food, or buy food from our amazing vendors.

Are open fires allowed?
No open fires are not allowed for cooking or any other purpose.

How much walking is required?
Very little.  All will be conveniently located on the grounds, within about 200 meters.  Look at the map for more info (this is an old map so some features are out of date, but the general layout is unchanged).

Can I rent or bring my own golf cart?
No, for the safety of pedestrians, golf carts are allowed for staff only.  Every thing is within easy walking distance.

Can I bring pets?
No pets are allowed on the grounds. There are several pet boarding options in the area if you are so inclined. ADA Service animals are an exception.

Can I bring fireworks?
No fireworks are allowed.
