Pascal's Pensées are a collection of thoughts and observations that Pascal intended as a defense of Christianity. They capture his anguish, hope, fear, doubt, reverence, and belief in a unique and powerful way. In 1654 he experienced God in a direct and personal way that affected him so deeply that he wrote a note describing this experience, which he kept with him. Ultimately, they describe the home he found in belief. We hope these thoughts help you find that home as well.
Why an Audiofeed edition? "There is deep struggle with emotion, doubt, faith, hope, despair, joy, and peace in Pensées. The Pensées of Pascal are raw, honest, and thought provoking reflections of a man who could not find contentment in the things others found satisfying. I think many of us feel the same troubling detachment from the world around us."
